Dr. M.P. Shyam
Rashtreeya Vidyalaya (RV) institutions are at the forefront among providers of quality education in the state of Karnataka. In line with our mission statement ‘Excellence in Education with Societal Commitment’, our institutions have been providing quality education to all sections of society for the past eight decades.
Our institutions have been providing opportunities, especially to students who are differently abled and/or hail from an economically weaker background, to fulfill their dreams. With more than 23 institutions under the umbrella of Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust, we are present in almost all spheres of academics. I am proud to say that our institutions have made a niche for themselves for their academic excellence.
We encourage our students to go beyond the regular curriculum to sharpen their soft skills and foster innovation through various curricular and co-curricular activities. The backbone of any educational institution is their faculty, and our faculty members are abreast in their domain knowledge and continuously strive for R&D and innovation.
We ensure that all our institutions are equipped with best infrastructure and laboratories to foster an academic and innovative atmosphere.
Over the years our goals have not just been to provide quality education to our students, but also teach them to uphold the values and traditions of our motherland. It is our responsibility to train and groom the future citizens of our country.
Our dream and commitment is to see each and every one of our students become a success story.
Mr A.V.S. Murthy
The vision of our Trust is to impart quality education at reasonable cost in all core disciplines and develop global leaders who are confident, ethical, smart, and engaged in all areas of life.
To fulfill the mission of our founder ‘Imparting Quality Education to all Strata of the Society’, the Trust has established several educational institutions. We celebrate youth and transform them into adults with a sense of social responsibility, humane values, and concern for the environment.
Our endeavor is to ensure that our students gain academic excellence along with required soft skills to become excellent scientists, technologists, thinkers, leaders, and better human beings.
Today, RV institutions are a household name in academic, industrial, and corporate circles. The last eight decades have seen this Trust rise from strength to strength through the establishment of a number of institutions.
With state-of-the-art infrastructure, tech-savvy ambiance, and the latest tools, we equip our students to stride with competitive fervor. We also empower them with job-oriented courses, career-counselling by our highly enthused and qualified teachers – we earnestly endeavor to help each one realize their dreams.
Sivananda Sarma
The story of one man’s dream and unwavering focus in the face of all odds continues to inspire us into the future.
Sri. Sivananda Sarma was born to Sri. Kalamma and Sri. Kapanna in a tiny village in Madarahalli, about 5 KM from T. Narasipura. While agriculture was their way of life, Sri. Sarma found himself immersed in books. Inspired by his quest for knowledge and his astute mother’s encouragement, Sri. Sarma decided to join the Siddaganga Mutt in Tumkur. He pursued his education in Sanskrit and subsequently went on to study at Sri. Chamarajendra Sanskrit College, Bangalore. He later proceeded to Allahabad to complete his ‘Sahitya Visharada’. Historically, Sri. Sarma was placed at the opportune moment, the context of which pointed out his life’s goal; that of providing education to the future citizens of a free India, as envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi, and Sri. Madan Mohan Malaviya. Sri. Sarma traveled widely across India, visiting various educational institutions of eminence like Shantiniketan, and Kangadi Gurukula founded by Swamy Shraddananda. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals, he participated in the freedom struggle and served a jail term. Sri. Sarma’s knowledge, education, experience, vision, ambition, and goals combined to a single fulcrum point on Vijayadashami, Vikrama Samvatsara in 1940 when he established a single-classroom school for six children in Visweshwarapuram, Bangalore. This was the RV Higher Primary School, which in turn fortified the beginnings of ‘Rashtreeya Vidyalaya’. While classes were held on rented premises, including that of Arasoji Rao Charitable Trust, Sri. Sarma was in search of a stable location for the school. He approached the city authorities and was sanctioned a piece of land in December 1943, near Lal Bagh West Gate in Bangalore. The 29-year-old Sri. Sarma had set the stage ready for illustrious growth of RV Educational Institutions. He believed that education is the only tool which would help individuals fulfil their aspirations. The Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust has forever been committed to this belief, by expanding and providing the necessary infrastructure to the students. Sri. Sarma served as its Founder Secretary till his demise in 1969.
